Every article published here is read, edited, and approved by a human before it runs. We stand behind what we publish.

We attribute facts to where they came from. Statistics, rosters and schedules are checked against official athletics communications or conference records before publication. When we cannot confirm something, we leave it out rather than hedge it.

If we get something wrong, tell us at press@thebreakdownbeat.com and we will fix it. Substantive corrections are marked with an updated date on the article itself; we do not quietly rewrite published work.

Photographs are used under free or open licences, or are in the public domain. Each image carries its photographer and licence directly beneath it. We do not use AI-generated imagery.

The Breakdown operates a sports-betting information product alongside this desk. Coverage decisions are not made to serve that product, and no article is placed behind its paywall.
